A Vibrant August Wedding to Brighten Your Day

It’s rainy and chilly today in Portland so I thought I’d warm your and my spirits with beautiful photos of Tammy Wise and Sean O’Leary’s wedding from August 22nd, 2009.  Sean and Tammy were married on a sunny day at McMeniman’s Edgefield.

Their wedding was inspired by peacock feathers, which informed the color palette of the bouquets and personal flowers that we created. Peacock feathers also made their way into the bride and bridesmaid bouquets as well as hair combs worn by the ladies in the bridal party. Photos by Ashton Photography and Design.

Clustered Arrangements

massing1-480aClustering, also known as grouping flowers by type, is a beautiful way of reinventing the vase arrangement. A fresh take on floral design, clustered arrangements showcase each season’s most beautiful offerings. Clustering flowers such as tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, lilies and hydrangeas ( just to name a few) create a modern presentation for the sophisticated flower lover.

This type of arrangement can either be monochromatic or shown with blocks of color. Single colored or monochromatic arrangements exude simplicity and elegance. Colorfully clustered vase arrangements are joyful and casual.

Typically three to five different flowers are used in each presentation and are often arranged in shorter vases to create a more compact design. Shown here are beautiful examples of Broadway Floral’s clustered arrangements.  Any of our talented designers can also create a custom clustered vase arrangement with your favorite flowers.
