Make Sure Your "Local" Florist is Local.
Not all "local" florists are local. Some out-of-state telemarketing and online firms pose as local florists. These companies mislead consumers into feeling they are ordering flowers from a local florist, but without their knowledge, are being call-remote forwarded to another state. These firms charge higher fees and take business away from legitimate local florists. Consumers are deceived into thinking they are doing business with a local company when they're not. That's unethical and unfair. To make sure you are doing business with a local professional florist, just follow these tips from the Federal Trade Commission:
✓ Highly Recommended.
✓ Located in the Lloyd District/Irvington Neighborhood; 1638 NE Broadway Portland, OR 97232
✓ Our history: Started before the turn of the last century, we began by growing flowers for other florists in the fertile valley just to the south of Portland. Our first home in the city was the farmers' market along the waterfront. In 1928 we settled in our current location on NE 17th and Broadway and began selling flowers retail. Our greenhouse was built in 1945 and it is an integral part of our building. Now filled with plants, flowers, gifts and home decor, it is a showplace like no other, one of the last remaining greenhouses in the city.
✓ We've been a family business for more than 35 years and we celebrate the fourth generation of family joining our staff of floral professionals, all dedicated to customer service and quality.
✓ Every day you'll find a unique selection of flowers and plants. We strive to bring our customers the highest quality flowers from the world's flower markets, whether New Zealand, Thailand, Hawaii, South America, Holland, California, Canada or our own, fine local farmers.
